Delhi’s Property Tax Amnesty Scheme (SUNIYO) – Worth acting on?

Noticed that MCD has launched a property tax amnesty scheme (SUNIYO) allowing 100% waiver on interest, penalties, and past dues from FY 2020–21 to 2025–26.

The scheme runs from 1st June to 30th September 2025.
Has anyone here availed this before or planning to act on it this time? Any pitfalls or fine print we should be aware of?

Would be helpful to hear from folks who know about it?

So , in SUNIYO, if you pay your principal property tax for FY 2020-21 to 2025-26, MCD will waive all interest, penalties, and older dues - so it’s a good chance to clear everything without extra charges.

Just make sure you pay the correct amount, as there is 30% penalty on the underpayment difference. You can apply online through the MCD portal - Citizen - Portal
