Khata transfer cost

I recently bought a resale flat (not a new one from the builder), and now I’m being asked to get the Khata transferred to my name. I’ve been quoted different amounts - one friend is saying small fee, some brokers are saying ₹10,000+.

If you have paid for the Khata recently?

  1. How much you paid?
  2. Did you go through BBMP or use an agent?
  3. How long did it take?

Khata depends on the BBMP limits as well. For eg: in south its around 7500 agent fees, and the process takes anywhere from 3-7 days. Btw, you can do it yourself as well Sakala portal (https://www.sakala.kar.nic.in/), and the cost is just 2000, but longer timeline.
