Ready-to-move vs. under-construction: What did you choose?

If you’re exploring homes right now, you’ve probably hit this classic dilemma:

:house_with_garden: Ready-to-move: No waiting, fewer risks - but usually more expensive
:building_construction: Under-construction: Lower prices, newer amenities - but timelines can be unpredictable

What did you end up choosing - and would you make the same choice again?

We moved to bangalore and stayed in a rental property till 2024. Last year my wife and me were done paying rent, hence we chose a ready to move property.

I think under-construction would have been a bit better on the pocket, and not planning is what I regret a bit. All in all turned out to be an okay decision. btw brought Bren Waters-edge (great name of the property)

We bought the house we were staying in during covid. Talked to the owner and it just worked. Had benefits of both having experienced the property first hand and then also making it our dream home.
